I am so thankful to have friends that are ready and willing to spend all day sifting through the ashes and debris with me. Everyone worked so hard. I will never be able to repay their kindness and generosity.

Amazing that just four days after the fire, the bulbs in my front yard started sprouting.
Just goes to show that life goes on.

Everyone worked hard digging through two stories of rubble.

John and Wendy move Jeremy's bed out of the house while Katie and Robin check out what's left of a lamp.

Jeremy's collector metal baseball cards were among the treasures found.

Becky tries out Jeremy's catcher mask

John holds up what's left of a desk chair. Doesn't look near as comfortable anymore!

I'm afraid Katie's computer has seen better days. I couldn't convince her that with a little work
we could have it running again.

Kay finds my teapot all in one piece. The lid was "fired" on.

Some of the dishes we found were in the dishwasher, still in one piece! Amazing!

And this picture that Becky took of an aluminum ice cream scoop has got to be my favorite.
Why it didn't turn into a puddle like the rest of the aluminum is a mystery.
Maybe it was some kind of message...

See The-Lynns website for more incredible pictures.
